Our History

How our medical consultancy started

Scisive Consulting LP was founded in 2008 by four partners, all of whom worked for The Wilkerson Group, the premier medical business consulting group in the world in the 20th century as well as having substantial operating experience in the medical industry.  While at The Wilkerson Group, and subsequently, all four founders have driven projects that have defined the way in which medical businesses operate:

2000’s

• Growth of the specialty pharmaceutical sector

1990’s

• Emergence of Pharmacy Benefit Management

1980’s

• Creation of the first FIPCOs – a term coined by Scisive’s chairman, Bob Easton
• Financing of first generation biopharmaceutical companies
• Automation of Immunodiagnostics
• Consolidation of medical device and supply industries to anticipate and respond to DRGs
• Emergence of Home Health Care
• Emergence of decentralized diagnostics (pre-CLIA)

 
This history, and our later experience in medical consulting for scores of clients on hundreds of engagements, has yielded a broad perspective on the science and business of healthcare, a suite of proven methodologies and proprietary datasets, and a vast network of privileged industry contacts.  Today, we bring 21st century technology and methodologies to the strategic issues that face our clients, enabling them to anticipate strategic changes and to gain competitive advantage.
