Catharine Staughton

Catharine Staughton has a wide range of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries gained over 25 years’ working in healthcare consulting, banking, and industry. Her expertise in financial analysis and product forecasting was acquired as an equity analyst at Robert Fleming Securities in London.  She also worked in business development for vaccines and other therapeutic categories at Medeva and in corporate development at the cancer company Antisoma, where she was responsible for identifying and evaluating both product and corporate acquisition opportunities.
 
Ms. Staughton was the first European employee of The Wilkerson Group’s London office, where she worked on numerous client assignments including writing expert letters for listings on the London Stock Exchange and AIM. Most recently, Ms. Staughton worked as an independent business development consultant, advising companies in business development and lecturing industry groups on aspects of business development, due diligence, and negotiation.

Ms. Staughton is a fundraising trustee of Moorfields Eye Hospital, Britain's premier specialist centre for the research and treatment of ophthalmology conditions. She received her MA in Genetics from the University of Cambridge and her MBA from INSEAD in France.  She speaks French well and has a working knowledge of German and Italian.
