Strategy Sourcing Director

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Lead strategy development and execution of sourcing operations through use of best practices in sourcing, procurement, planning, infrastructure development, and supply chain risk management to deliver a solution that balances supply with demand while meeting group’s objectives.

 

Main Duties:

◆ Manage both directly and indirectly, processes, people, infrastructure to facilitate sourcing

◆ Consolidate, analyze, and report on global sourcing performance

◆ Analyze and influence Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), directing negotiation efforts

◆ Analyze aggregate performance of supply base

◆ Individual Staff Performance Management (Skills, Knowledge)

◆ Departmental Performance Management (Process, Budget)

◆ Coordinate supplier management function

◆ Contribute to supplier profiles

◆ Coordinate production of supplier scorecard

◆ Directly manage sourcing for Tier 3 countries

◆ Manage department to achieve desired KPIs

◆ Change Management

◆ Improvement Project leadership

◆ Development of Operating Standards

◆ Development of Supply Contract standards

◆ Development of Strategic Sourcing Plan

◆ Development of departmental Staff Development, Succession Planning

◆ Development of business allocation standards for global sourcing team.

◆ Development and delivery of training materials for global sourcing team.

 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

◆ Four year degree from accredited University preferably in engineering, supply chain management or business administration

◆ 8+ years of working experience in sourcing, with 5+ years of solid experience in management or supervisory position

◆ Committed, ability to handle multiple tasks and work well with little direction and under pressure

 

Professional technical expertise

◆ Effective knowledge of B2B business

◆ Lean/6-Sigma is a plus

◆ Financial understanding

◆ Good presentation skills

◆ Proficient in MS Office

◆ Able to work remotely and independently. Use skills and knowledge to tackle complicated problems, work closely with supervisor to make sound business decisions.
